Neurodiversity Week 2023: Celebrating Inclusion at Apprentify

At Apprentify, we’re committed to creating an inclusive
learning environment for all of our apprentices. That’s why we’re excited to
celebrate Neurodiversity Week 2023, a time when we can recognize and celebrate
the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals with neurodiversity needs. 

What is neurodiversity? 

Neurodiversity is the recognition that everyone’s brain
works differently. This means that people may think, learn, and process
information in different ways. Neurodiversity includes conditions such as
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD), dyslexia, and dyspraxia, among others. 

Unfortunately, individuals with neurodiversity needs often face
barriers to education and employment. They may struggle to learn in traditional
classroom settings or be misunderstood in the workplace. However, with the
right support and accommodations, individuals with neurodiversity needs can
thrive in their chosen careers. 

How Apprentify supports neurodiversity 

At Apprentify, we offer a Cognaisst program that provides
tailored support to apprentices with neurodiversity needs. Our program is
designed to help individuals learn and progress in a way that works for them.
We work closely with our apprentices to understand their unique strengths and
challenges, and we adapt our teaching methods to meet their needs. 

Our Cognaisst program includes the following features:

A dedicated learning coach:

Each apprentice is assigned a
dedicated learning coach who works with them throughout their apprenticeship.
The coach provides regular support and feedback, and they are available to
answer any questions the apprentice may have.

Personalised learning plans:

We work with each apprentice to
create a personalized learning plan that takes into account their strengths and
challenges. This plan may include accommodations such as extra time on
assessments, visual aids, or assistive technology.

Flexibility:

We understand that everyone learns at their own
pace. That’s why we offer flexible learning options that allow apprentices to
progress at a speed that works for them.
